Erica Wales, the Peace Corps volunteer who is running the Salesatele freshwater spring project in Samoa has recently posted about our visit there in November, along with a couple more pics.

Erica was a great host, and we got on really well with her during our visit there. I’m sure you’d like to read what she had to say about us, the project, and see the pictures…so just click the link to read her blog entry.

Another article on wurld! This time it’s the North Harbour News, it’s a longer article and they even used a picture of us from Christmas Wonderland. We’ve had some contact out of it already, so hopefully some key people read it and we can get this wurld snowball growing, the result of course being we get to help people in need.

Well we planned our first ‘day 5′ event to be a beach clean up at Long Bay reserve on Auckland’s North Shore, on January the 5th, 2010.

But we’ve recently been advised by the Ranger that we wont be able to do this officially any longer. They say the beach is too busy at this time for groups to turn up for this sort of thing, so we’ve agreed to shelve the beach clean up for a later date in the summer.

So….we’re putting our thinking caps on for what to do instead, you’re welcome to do the same and suggest something for the 5th of January. We’ll update in the next few days what’s going to be happening…

I (Jared) met up with Ben Young from bwagy.com last Friday after connecting with him on twitter. We chatted about wurld water of course, amongst a whole lot of other stuff like social media, marketing and both our backgrounds. It’s great meeting new people with different backgrounds like Ben, and also Jason Armishaw who I met on Thursday.

Ben’s just posted a blog entry about wurld water. So check it out, while you’re there sign up to his newsletter and have a look at his book, available here.

Ben also has a regular radio slot on Kiwi FM, on the Radio Wammo show. Watch the YouTube video below to hear what they thought about wurld water. The main thing for us is using the profit that bottled water generates for something better than just fattening shareholder’s pockets.

wurld’s first press article! North Shore Times wrote an article on wurld water, and as you can guess, we are all quite excited by it. Hopefully the first of many more, as people discover the wurld of difference we can make by switching bottled water brands.
